Richard is a scientist with a comprehensive knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology, virology and proteomics. In particular, he is interested in drug discovery and the understanding of drug mechanisms and has previously done various projects investigating these topics. In particular, he  studied various diseases including HBV and tuberculosis to identify potential targets for inhibitors. More recently, he started to work on the characterization of antivirals against SARS-CoV-2. He is also one of the greatest ginger-researchers at the Armand Frappier Institute, if not the only one ;)
